A large display annoverante fifty-three works including paintings, sculptures and installations, which provides the dialectical-generational comparison between some well-known masters of the 900 ( Arman, Boettger, Corpora, Dorazio, Party, Germans, Perilli, Caster ) and a large squad of Sicilian artists ( Mariana Acuna, Sebastian Caracozza, Paolo Chirco, Guido Colli, Fabrizio Costanzo, Marcia Cusimano, Joseph D'Agostino, Angelo Denaro, Peter Emanuel, Joseph Fell, Rita Gambino, Leonardo La Barbera, Mario Lo Coco, Francesco Nuccio, Gaspare Occhipinti, Elena Pagani, Aldo Palazzo, Francesco Pintaudi, Salvatore Pizzo, Enzo Romeo, Thomas Salemi, Triolo Bice, David Vaudois), also divided into different age group, ranging from the very young just fresh from the academic to the future of those who have already established the artistic and exhibition.
The basic idea that motivates this project is to highlight the processes of contamination, interference, tangency, grafting and hybridization are - always - the foundation of every major mechanical sign in creative and artistic field. It is not easy to establish parent-child relationship or to classify the actions of some individuals on the basis of paradigms, but rather, to demonstrate that it is impossible for any true artist, di eludere il confronto con i maestri del passato prossimo e remoto e con i più interessanti operatori visuali della stretta attualità.
Sono per l'appunto le "citazioni" e le "imitazioni" a fornire quell'indispensabile propellant imaginative, whereby the power to develop new solutions to the linguistic, technical and especially narrative, and everything - at least for featured artists - without triggering any phenomenon "castrating" the \u0026lt;\u0026lt;immalinconimento>> , as the dialectical confrontation with the task of the "big" reveal itself in a position to act as a trigger "catalytic" for interesting and innovative ideation and gestures.
Suffice it to say the shining example of Pablo Picasso (who sacked almost the entire visual knowable, Pompeian painting by Raphael and Goya, Cézanne in Aboriginal art) to fully understand the inescapable importance of the contribution more diverse ideas and suggestions for the most distorted induction and consolidation of activities "palingenetic" in the field of visual arts in reality is only apparently unexpected and sudden.
From these findings have taken the movements of the participants in this initiative, which, thanks to this "dialogue" with more than 900 known contacts of the second, they set up a fairly detailed mapping of the "state of things" in art scene of our island, faithfully making the "spirit of time" and developments relevant insights from those of some decades ago have matured and derivatives.
Geometric Abstraction and informal, readymade and painting more than usual, recoveries figurative anachronistic and sophisticated installations, sculptures in metal and other materials will populate this exposure, indicating and confirming the trend of contemporary visual arts that Babel "ecumenical" all absorbs and includes within itself, a yearning for research (technical and aesthetic) are certainly not less than that of the last century and yet tinged with - the lack of any ideological grid - more fragmentation handling and vehemence less avant-garde.
The exhibition curated by Salvo Ferlito and under the artistic direction of Marco Pomara will be open until February 5, every day (except Sunday and Monday) from ore17 at 20.
Admission free.
